As you pack up and prepare to leave your on-campus accommodation, you might come across things you no longer want or need. Instead of tossing them, why not give them a second life?
At Heriot-Watt, we’ve got easy and impactful ways to donate your unwanted items and help others while you’re at it! ♻️
💥 Pass it on to new students
The Chaplaincy is collecting pots, pans, cutlery, glasses, and stationery to pass on to next year’s freshers. Drop them off at donation points in your hall foyer or lounge — just make sure they’re clean!
❤️ Give to a good cause
Clothing, shoes, and rugs can go to the British Heart Foundation. Look for the big red BHF bins near your halls and pop your donations in a sealed bag (grab one from your foyer or the Reslife Hub if you need!).
🍽️ Support the community
Unopened, in-date food? Donate it to the Broomhouse and Wester Hailes Food Banks. Just drop it off at the food donation points in your halls.
Let’s leave campus on a high note—clean, green, and generous. 💚
