Heriot-Watt Campus has a fantastic range of cafes and restaurants, so you are never far away from a hot meal or freshly made sandwich!
Also – importantly – you won’t waste your data as they all also offer free Wi-fi (Eduroam)
Central
Central’s variety of hot food is so delicious and there is such a variety! So whether you fancy an Indian Curry, a Chinese Takeaway, Fish and Chips or a Burger there will surely be something to tickle your taste buds.

Elements
Located on the ground floor of the Hugh Nisbet Building, right next to the SU shop, Elements offers an unbeatable range of made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, baguettes and baked potatoes with a huge selection of fillings!

Café Brio
Located just above Central, this is a continental-style café serving an exclusive range of single-source coffees and teas, hot chocolate, sandwiches, cakes, morning pastries, soup and snack bars. A limited range of exclusive Highland beers is available during licensed hours.
Cafe Brio is a great place to meet friends and chill out before or after lectures. It is popular throughout the day with large-screen TV's providing access to Sky Sports for all the big matches and events.
Da Vinci Café (Postgraduate Centre)
Da Vinci's continental-style cafe bar is situated on the ground floor of the Postgraduate Centre. Open to everyone, this modern outlet serves a range of coffees, cakes, soup, made-to-order sandwiches and baguettes and filled jacket potatoes throughout the day. Sit in or take away. Complimentary newspapers are available so you can catch up as you sip your coffee.

The Piece
Offering a full range of Starbucks coffees, frappuccinos and hot chocolate as well as breakfast and lunch wraps, snacks, crisps and a selection of soft drinks.

Watt Coffee
Located in the James Watt Study Hub, Watt Coffee offers a range of Costa Coffees™, sandwiches, soup and bottled drinks.
Bistro 1776 (Edinburgh Business School)
Located in the Edinburgh Business School, Bistro 1776 is open to staff, students, visitors, clients and partners.
As a hub where business and education meet, the Edinburgh Business School is not only the place to dine with colleagues but the go-to destination on campus to impress clients and partners with the high-quality catering on offer. Bright and spacious, the venue also offers an ideal location for your business events including conferences, seminars and meetings; as well as exhibitions, corporate dinners and receptions.
Bistro 1776 serves a light service including soups, salads, sandwiches, and a hot sandwich of the day and the infamous fish and chip Friday is still on offer! Traditional barista coffee is served, in partnership with Coffee Conscience a Scottish-based SME with a long tradition of social enterprise engagement.

After some exercise, or just for a change of scene, why not visit the Oriam Cafe to enjoy warm beverage and a wide selection of healthy snacks.

Student Union – Liberty's
Wanting somewhere cute to have brunch? Head down to Libertys for your breakfast and lunch options! We are even dog friendly!
Libertys is our Student Union café that can be found in our Student Union building (behind Leonard Horner halls). We provide a variety of foods including sausage rolls, filled rolls, soups and vegan slices!
Not wanting lunch? That’s okay! Head down for coffee and cake! We also have barista made coffee with the options of several dairy-free milks as well as cakes, muffins and pastries. We have vegan and vegetarian options! It’s the perfect spot to come and study or catch up with your friends between classes!
Too busy studying during the week? Head to our weekend café! Libertys stays open over the weekend to cater to all your coffee and cake needs. We even have vegan cake!

Student Union – Geordies
Want a cold pint or a pipping hot burger? Geordies is the place to be!
Our on-campus bar is in our Student Union building (behind Leonard Horner halls) and is a hot spot for all students during their time at Heriot-Watt! We have a lunchtime and evening menu which is jam packed with a variety of student favourites for anyone and everyone! Whether you are in between classes or wanting a cold pint at the end of the day we have you covered. We even have vegetarian and vegan options!
Don’t want a pint? No worries! We have several other options including beer, cider, wine, cocktails, spirits and non-alcoholic options!
Prefer to watch sports instead of parting? We have a projector screen and four plasma screen TVs to broadcast live sport including football, rugby and the Formula 1. If we aren’t showing your favourite sport, why not message us and let us know!
