Food shopping is a necessity when becoming a student

As food prices are rising it's becoming a tighter budget to work with!

Most of the items I bought for this grocery haul are just for snacking, such as various fruits and crisps.

However, I did buy some ingredients for the easy and very student-friendly “Baked Feta Pasta”, which is popularised by TikTok. There are tons of recipes when you search online but they are all similar to each other. What I did differently though is add other ingredients to spice it up a bit. I’ve added mushrooms before baking as well as topping it off with bacon and peas when serving. I’ve also added shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese as I like everything cheesier!

As my total only come up to £18.78, you can definitely include pasta on your next grocery run and have at least three days worth of pasta!

If you’re curious about where I bought my grocery, it’s from ALDI! Specifically in Gorgie Park Road. I frequently go here because of its competitive prices and how it’s very accessible from the campus. Just hop on Bus 25 and you can’t miss it! Another reason is that I go to McDonalds after doing my groceries, which is conveniently located beside the store.
