If you have more questions about payment, please see our handy FAQ below:

  • When are payments due?

Tuition fees are due 30 days after the start of your programme. Fees must be paid by 13th October.

Accommodation charges are due 30 days after the start of each semester. For semester one, this is the 13th of Oct. For semester two, this is the 10th of February.

  • Can I pay by instalments?

Yes, for tuition and accommodation fees you can pay by fixed instalment plans with a debit or credit card at no additional cost by the University. This must be set up by 13th October before the start of each academic year.To pay for your tuition and/or your accommodation fees by instalments, go to the payment portal and click on ‘Pay Your Fees Online’, log in and select Recurring Card Plan. This can be accessed at my.hw.ac.uk/payments.

  • Problems paying?

We understand that unexpected changes in personal financial circumstances can make it difficult to meet a payment date. If you think you will be unable to make a payment when it falls due, please contact Student Finance by raising an enquiry via the AskHWU tile in your portal, or drop-in appointments are available, most weekday mornings, at the Student Service Centre.

  • What happens if I do not pay?

When student tuition & accommodation fees are in arrears, you will be contacted by the University to find out when the outstanding balance will be settled. When balances remain outstanding, sanctions can be applied. These sanctions will prevent students from continuing their studies as they block access to course materials and prevent the submission of coursework for grading.

  • Where can I find out more?

More information can be found via the AskHWUtile, in your student portal.
