Some of my top spots to check out on our campus

Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh Campus is a beautiful place with lush greenery and calmness everywhere. Students can really connect with nature during their studies here.

Here are some of my top spots I like to go to on our campus, do see them for yourselves and happy exploring!

📍 LOCH

a tree next to a body of water

The loch is the perfect location for anyone who loves being near a peaceful water body. Seeing the beautiful swans and ducks in this lake will refresh any person’s mind. The loch is situated near to the Student Union Building.

📍 UNDER BRIDGE LINK

The beauty of the loch can be seen through a different angle by going to the place just below the bridge link in Hugh Nisbet Building. The serene environment makes us appreciate the view even more. The way the loch is framed by trees on both sides is just breath taking.

📍 LIBRARY

The library is the best place on campus where one can study while being in the zone with all the facilities right nearby. The wooden benches just outside the library is also great place to have a chat while taking breaks.

📍 LAWN

The lawn is a great place to have picnics with your friends. It looks marvellous, especially on moonlit nights. It is located just behind the library and the vastness of the lawn mesmerizes you every single time.

What are your favourite places on campus?

📍 MILLENNIUM GARDEN

The millennium garden is a beautiful place with the flowers and the stone seating areas. The stairs leading to the elevated area lets you enjoy the entire view of the pretty garden. The gardens are located between the chaplaincy and the Muriel Spark Hall.
